Overview
The extensive refurbishment comprised 90 guestrooms and penthouse suites, together with major façade, roof, basement and ground-floor works, new lifts, communal areas, back-of-house facilities and four commercial kitchens serving the hotel’s restaurants, bars and 24-hour room service. Following completion, a striking Tadao Ando-designed fountain was delivered at Charles Place, incorporating granite, glass, fibre-optic lighting and mist effects around mature trees.
